Westminster has officially entered the digital age according to new evidence released by Edelman. The Edelman Capital Staffers study provides a unique insight into the views of political advisers across Westminster and key political capitals around the world.

Dominic Pendry, Director in Edelman’s Public Affairs team, is joined by Shane Greer, Executive Editor of Total Politics magazine, Christine Quigley, Account Manager, also in Edelman’s Public Affairs team, and Martin Shapland, Parliamentary Researcher for John Hemming MP, to discuss the 2011 Capital Staffers and Westminster officially entering the digital age.

Speaker Chair: Dominic Pendry, Director, Edelman
Dominic is a director in Edelman’s public affairs team. He provides strategic oversight for a number of corporate clients, specializing in the infrastructure, property and digital sectors. Dominic has had a successful career in political and media campaigning for over ten years, working for political parties, corporations and trade associations. Most recently, he was Network Rail’s Head of Communications for Property.
Speaker Shane Greer, Executive Editor, Total Politics
Shane is the executive editor of Total Politics magazine, chief executive of Biteback Media and president of Political World Communications, LLC. He appears regularly on television and radio, including Sky News, BBC News, Daily Politics, BBC Breakfast, BBC World Service, Channel 4 News, and BBC Radio. He is a paper reviewer for both Sky News and the BBC and has a weekly review segment on the Stephen Nolan Show on Radio 5.
Speaker Christine Quigley, Account Manager, Edelman
Christine joined Edelman in August 2011, coming from the public affairs team at national charity Age UK, where she worked on a range of issues from fuel poverty to pensions. Previously she worked in the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and for an east London community-based charity. She is an active member of the Labour Party and has held executive posts in London Young Labour, the Labour Irish Society and Labour Movement for Europe.
Speaker Martin Shapland, Parliamentary Researcher for John Hemming MP
Martin is a parliamentary researcher for John Hemming MP. He is also active in youth politics and has previously chaired the Lib Dem’s youth and student wing.Now based in London, Martin was born in Cumbria and brought up in the West Midlands where he found a largely irrational love for his university town, Birmingham. He has a keen interest in education policy and international affairs and enjoys relaxing with a good book, if and when he can find the time.
