I’m pleased to say that Harvard Business Review’s terrific web site has found room for a new post by me, which you can read here. It’s about the challenges facing the new BP boss Bob Dudley.

I’ve been reading HBR for years, of course, and I have to say I feel stupidly proud to have my name in it/up there for the first time. Please click through loads of times so they have to ask me back!

PS  The full quotation alluded to in the headline is usually attributed to the old British newspaper magnate Lord Beaverbrook, whose advice sounds rather up-to-date in the age of Twitter and other social media:

“If you don’t blow your own trumpet you can bet nobody else will blow it for you.”
